What exactly is Zyra Essor?

A civic crowdfunding and community transparency platform: a web Admin Portal for Local Authorities and staff, paired with a mobile app for donors and diaspora supporters, sharing one backend and payment layer. 

How are donations collected and settled?

In-app donations go through CamerPay, which supports MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money, cards, and PayPal. Cash or offline gifts are logged by an admin through Manual Donations, each with its own receipt. 

Who can approve a project or an expense?

Super Admins and Admins can approve or reject projects and expenses; a Project Manager can submit both but not approve their own. Rejections always require a written reason. 

Is the platform bilingual?

Yes. Both the Admin Portal and the mobile app support English and French, with the whole interface — including validation messages — switching instantly. 

What's the difference between a Member and a Diaspora account?

Members are local residents who register with a Quarter; Diaspora accounts register with a Country and additionally see a read-only Diaspora impact tab showing contributions by country.
